Welcome to the October Creative Team Blog Hop! Our theme for this month is “fall”. Here is the link list of all of our Creative Team members. Please be sure to visit everyone for some great inspiration.
My card is a version of a card I’m sure you’ve seen before. Remember this card?
I love that card! I thought it would be fun to show you how I made it and bring it into fall.
First, I cut my leaf in Candy Apple, Haystack, Limeade Splash, and Citrus Cooler using the coordinating stamp and die set Autumn Days. Then I stamped my leaf using Hazelnut Blend ink on Buttercream cardstock and die cut it with the coordinating die.
Pulling out my FSJ scoring board, I lined up the top of each leaf and the bottom right corner slot and made a quick score line. Tip: I picked a number on my scoreboard (in this case, the 5 inch line) and slid my scoring tool down about 2 inches to make sure I was lining the top and the bottom in the same channel on the board. Once I had my leaf lined up, I made my score mark.
No fall leaf is complete without a little Dark Roast silk!
Now I begin layering up my colored leaves with a small bead of glue down each score line.
This card comes together quickly from here. Stamp your sentiment in the lower corner using Thankful Friends. Add a bit of Gold and Dark Roast silk across the card and make a trail with our Rainbow Drops.
Finally, glue the leaf stack on and you have a beautiful card for someone you love!
I hope you are having a wonderful autumn! It’s my favorite season, even though it is also my busiest. I will be back soon with some fun Halloween ideas for you.
Sending you good vibes and big wishes!
