Card Making Basics

Team Challenge

Sometimes, when you are creating, it is fun to have guidelines.  It takes away that overwhelming “where do I begin?” feeling that comes with having a full craft space.  Recently, the manager of our FSJ team challenged us to recreate – or even just copy – a card from the Annual Catalog.  Feeling rebellious, I decided to copy and update a card from one of our first FSJ catalogs.  Here is the original.

Since we no longer carry the black and white striped paper, the stamp that made the flower, the banner dies under the flower or the silver star, I had to be creative with replicating it as closely as possible.    Here is what I came up with.

I used black and white stripes from our Good Vibe print pack, Limeade Splash flowers made from the Clover Bloom die set, star strip made with our Border Details die set, Journey twine in Black Licorice, sentiment from Tickled Pink stamp set and finished off with a button from Clear Blooms Accents and a rhinestone.

I hope you like my update to an FSJ classic!  Sending you good vibes and big wishes!
